PADULA 


This city was founded in 1300 and it is known for its architecture and for the "Carthusian monastery of Padula" that can be visited in very period of the year.

The Carthusian monastery risen in 700 years on a surface of 51.000 square meters is riched in furnitures which has remained unaltered in the course of time, of baroque altars, of fine wood and majolica. You can visit the apartment of the Prior, the Chapel, the Library, the Cloister, the Cemetery, the Refectory and the kitchen that is famous for the omelette made with 1000 eggs that was eaten by Carlo V and his attendants during a break.
