Who said holidays are only for summer?
Autumn colours, the festive atmosphere of December and the events that lead us into 2026 – from Carnival to Easter – are an open invitation for true travellers. And Palinuro, with Baia del Silenzio as your base, is the perfect place to start.
Those who love to travel know that every season offers the chance to discover new landscapes, new people and new flavours. The Cilento fits this spirit perfectly.
It’s easy to imagine it in summer, under the sun and by a crystal-clear sea.
But try seeing it from a different perspective.
Autumn is the ideal time for outdoor experiences. What could be better than a walk through the Cilento National Park or a visit to the WWF Bussento Caves Oasis?
The climate is mild, the air is crisp, and nature puts on an unforgettable show.
Trekking through the woods at this time of year is hard to describe: shades of yellow, red, green and brown create a living work of art – and you are right in the middle of it.
Waterfalls, rivers, hidden trails…
Here you can also enjoy rafting, or simply slow down with birdwatching and quiet nature walks.
November is still rich in food and wine events, but it’s also the perfect time to dive into culture.
The Cilento is a land of ancient history, and its archaeological sites are open and welcoming.
From the Paestum Archaeological Park and its National Museum, to Atena Lucana and Elea–Velia, every visit becomes a journey through time – calm, immersive and deeply rewarding.
The Immaculate Conception holiday and the Christmas season are another wonderful excuse to visit the area.
Christmas markets light up villages such as Castellabate, Camerota, Sapri, Atena Lucana, Castelnuovo Cilento and Casal Velino, just to name a few.
Music, local crafts, traditional food and festive lights fill the streets.
You’ll also find beautifully crafted nativity scenes everywhere – in town squares, churches and historic centres – each one telling a story of local devotion and artistry.
And what about Carnival?
Agropoli becomes the heart of the celebrations, with spectacular allegorical floats organised by the “Il Carro” association.
Festivities continue in Palinuro and Marina di Camerota, with parades, music and events designed especially for families and children.
Fun is guaranteed.
Even when the village and its seasonal services are closed, Baia del Silenzio continues to welcome guests throughout autumn and winter in its panoramic sea-view apartments.
Our winter accommodations include:
Check-in and check-out times are agreed at booking.
Pets are welcome, Wi-Fi is free, and seasonal services are available from May to September.
Just a short walk from the resort you’ll find Valle di Marco, an agriturismo known for its excellent local cuisine.
At 500 metres there’s a bar, tobacconist, newsstand and pharmacy, while the white sands of Le Dune beach are just beyond.
Within a 4 km radius – in Pisciotta’s medieval village and in Palinuro – you’ll find shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
We’re also happy to help with itineraries, local events, and car, scooter or bike rental.
All that’s left to do is book and go.
