To be arranged in advance with the resort.

Start from Baia

From Resort Baia del Silenzio, you can easily reach some of the most inspiring experiences in the Cilento. Sea, nature, villages and trails unfold before you, offering different excursions every day, all at your own pace.

Capelli di Venere Waterfalls

Not far from the village of Casaletto Spartano, set within the breathtaking scenery of the Cilento National Park, there’s another natural wonder not to be missed.

The icy waters of the Capelli di Venere Waterfalls flow gently over a bed of moss and lichens, creating delicate, veil-like streams that collect into a small natural pool below. Taking a dip here is a true pleasure — especially when you let the cascading water gently “massage” you beneath the falls.

It’s the perfect way to cool off on hot summer days. Nearby, you can also admire an ancient mill, and the area features equipped picnic spots, ideal for a relaxing break surrounded by nature.

Baia degli Infreschi (Infreschi Bay)

Set off on a boat trip and discover your inner eco-explorer. From the boats, you can dive straight into the extraordinary waters of the bay, swim, snorkel or simply relax and soak up the sun.

The experience continues on board, with a taste of traditional Cilento cuisine, served directly on the typical boats of this corner of paradise.
The scenery alone is enough to reconnect you with nature — and with yourself. But when you add fun, relaxation and authentic local flavours, the experience becomes even richer.

And your holiday becomes even more unforgettable.

Palinuro Caves and Beaches

In the company of Aeneas’ helmsman, you can set off on a fascinating, colourful journey that delights the senses. Skirting hidden bays and secluded coves, you’ll reach places inaccessible by land and discover truly evocative sea caves.

Among the most famous is the Blue Grotto, where the crystal-clear, luminous water takes your breath away and leaves an unforgettable impression. Equally captivating is the Cave of Blood and Bones, once inhabited by our ancestors since prehistoric times.

Along the way, golden sandy beaches invite you to pause and unwind before heading back out to sea, ready to discover yet more hidden gems.

Velia

Anyone exploring the Cilento National Park should not miss a stop at the archaeological site of Velia. This is undoubtedly one of the most poetic places in the area, where the spirit of ancient Greek philosophy can still be felt.

Once a key hub for trade between Etruria and Greece, the city experienced periods of remarkable prosperity. Known to the Greeks as Elea (Velia being the Roman name), it was frequented by great philosophers such as Parmenides, Zeno and Melissus.

Today, the acropolis also hosts open-air theatre performances, adding a cultural dimension to the visit. Among the site’s most remarkable architectural features stands the Porta Rosa, a true masterpiece of ancient engineering.

Morigerati

Enjoy one of the most adventurous excursions in the Cilento, where a pleasant walk leads you through a truly unique natural setting.

Within the WWF Oasis, you can follow scenic nature trails and admire the beauty of the Bussento River, with its waterfalls and fresh, crystal-clear waters. Along the way, you’ll discover caves and canyons, and experience the rich biodiversity that defines this protected area.

It’s easy to spot wildlife that has found its natural habitat here, making every step a moment of discovery.

As soon as you enter the site, you feel as if you’re stepping back through the centuries. Thanks to the excavations, visitors can walk along ancient streets and admire monuments, everyday objects, frescoes and houses that have re-emerged from the past. Particularly moving are the plaster casts that capture the final moments of some 25,000 people, forever preserved by the lava.

For those who prefer sweeping views, a visit to Mount Vesuvius offers a breathtaking panorama over the Bay of Naples. One of the few still-active volcanoes in Europe, it combines natural power with unforgettable scenery.
